A New Season: The Christmas Girls are back – English Version

We’re back! Ladies and gentlemen, starting tomorrow we’re back for the new season and we are truly looking forward to it!

Carmen & Yardéna

One Christmas girl turned her life around, moved to a new town and will start teaching at a new school in somewhere in North-Brabant next week. The other Christmas girl just became a grandmother and also switched to a job where she can now only focus on Christmas. It’s time for new things! A new season!

Recap

The past year brought us more than we dared to dream of. More blog posts, more followers, an article in the Christmas edition of Sligro. Enough to sum up and all a lot of fun. We are grateful that we were able to do it and that we got to share our adventures with you. We enjoyed it so much that we couldn’t wait to begin the new season.

Cosy corners

This year we have enough coming your way. We have been busy bees and can’t wait to share everything with you. A new item that will frequently come by is cosy corners. Cosy corners, warm, inviting and most of all, home.

One of the girls (Yardéna) just moved and with moving into a new house comes a nesting period where you house is being turned into a home. The past few years have made us more aware than ever of how important that feeling of “home” is. The cosy corners are a big part of this. The places where you decompress after a busy day at work, where you recharge and get a good feeling. What are your new spots? What makes you happy? Where are your favourite things? Where do your pets curl up?

We both love cosy corners. Curled up on the couch with a cup of tea or coffee. Maybe with a good book. A nice carpet under your feet. Candles, pillows, lights, you name it. Happily stirring up your senses. It doesn’t matter how big or small your house is, there is enough you can do to turn it into a cosy home. The more fun part of it is that you can give it your own unique twist. Regardless of your interior or style. There is no right or wrong. Simply try things out and see what works for you.

Books & more

Another part of our cosy corners are books. We love reading. If the picture isn’t any indication then we don’t know what is. We will definitely share more reading tips starting today with these two.

There is nothing more enjoyable then curling up with a good book. If you then stumble across authors who understand your sense of cosy nooks and spaces then you have found a nice gem.

Cozy white cottage seasons by Liz Marie Galvan
Home Body by Joanna Gaines

We dove in the worlds of Liz Galvan and Joanna Gaines, both ladies know for their home decor stories and their fixxer uppers. Love it! These books are a delicious read and its content amazing to apply to your own home. Definitely a reading tip!

Also Kelly Rinzema with her blog The Lily pad cottage is a nice recommendation. Enough inspiration. Great!

Food

We really love good food. We shared a little bit of that last year but we will share more this year. We’ll try out new things whilst also sharing our own recipes. Who doesn’t enjoy some good food? Yummy!

Social media

We will share our finds and ideas some more in the upcoming weeks on our blog and on our social media channels. This season you can’t only follow us on Instagram and Facebook but also on Pinterest. If you are looking for some fun ideas of extra inspiration, then pay our account a visit.

We have 1 or 2 DIY’s on the schedule. We haven’t shared any of this before so we are curious to see how that pans out. We’ll tell you more about this around October.

We also have some trips in the works. In December we will see André Rieu in concert and see Maastricht in all it’s Christmas glory, we’re planning trips to several Christmas markets and even have a trip or two outside of the country if all things work out. New things are coming!

Upcoming weeks

In short, there is enough coming this season. Next week we will kick off with Trendz, the big trade fair where we will give you an idea of the upcoming Christmas themes. After that we’ll dive into some nice snacks.

We hope you are looking forward to this Christmas season as much as we are. We would love to hear your thoughts. Let us know by posting a reaction down below or on our social media.

We’ll see you soon!
