October is the month of new Christmas music! Every year the questions comes on wether you’ll be listening to the Christmas top 40 on Skyradio, Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole’s old classics, or if new songs will be released that you can enjoy. We looked into what is coming this year and found some nice gems that will arrive starting this month. We listed them down here for you.

A Very Backstreet Christmas – The Backstreet Boys

30 years in the making but finally The Backstreet Boys will release their first Christmas album this year. 13 tracks with beautiful classics such as “The Christmas Song”, “O Holy Night” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” as well as 3 original tracks: “Christmas In New York”, “Together” and “Happy Days”.

A Holly Dolly Christmas Ultimate Deluxe
This year Dolly Parton brings an expansion of her 2020 album A Holly Dolly Christmas. 8 new tracks including “A Smoky Mountain Christmas” that was released in August. With collaborations including Michael Bublé, Willie Nelson & Rod Stewart this promises to be a true joy to listen to. So sit down and take in this beautiful new addition.

At This Table – Selah

Vocal trio Selah is celebrating its 25 anniversary in Christian music this year by releasing two albums. One of which is the At This Table: A Christmas Album. Its 10 tracks are a combination of modern and traditional carols such as “Away in the manger”, “The First Noel” and “That Night Love Was Born”.

The Ultimate Christmas Collection – Reba McEntire

The 67-year-old Country singer release a compilation of her favourite Christmas hits picked from her previously recorded albums. From 1987 to 2018. These 11 Christmas classics and an additional orignial track “I needed Christmas” of her film Reba McEntire’s Christmas In Tune from last year, promise to make this an incredile Christmas edition.

Merry Christmas, Love – Joss Stone

With her beautiful soulful voice, British singer and songwriter Joss Stone releases her first Christmas album. Inspired by the greats such as Bing Crosby and Michael Bublé the singer releases 15 classsic tracks like “Winter Wonderland” and “Let It Snow, an addition to two original songs written by the singer herself: “If You Believe” and “Bring On Christmas Day”. Through s-curve/ Hollywood records the songs are available on 30 September though the physical CD releases in October.

A Family Christmas – Andrea Bocelli

As the Italian tenor releases a festive album this season he is joined by his 24-year-old son Matteo and his 10-year-old daughter Virginia. With new renditions of the popular “Feliz Navidad”, the classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and a new song “The Greatest Gift” the audience is pulled into a few of favourite traditions of the Bocelli family.
Singing these songs together, feeling the holiday warmth as a family is something truly special. That’s what Christmas is about – making memories together to cherish forever.

Louis Wishes You A Cool Yule – Louis Armstrong

The first official Christmas album by the legendary Jazz singer and trompetplayer Louis Armstrong. Despite his passing in 1971, Louis remains a fan favourite during the holidays. Verve Records/UMe presents a unique 11-track album containing almost all Louis’s Christmas songs like “Christmas Night At Harlem” and “Cool Yule”, but also feautures duets with Velma Middleton and Ella Fitzgerald. His most iconic song “What A Wonder World” can’t be forgotten as well as a a previously unreleased reading of the famous poem A Visit from St. Nicholas (better known as ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas). Definitely an album to look forward to.

Remastered with even a newly remixed version of his previously released “O Holy Night”.

The rockband releases their first Christmas album upcoming November. Cheerful, nostalic and filled with old and new Christmas songs. Shore Fire Media say the album is the perfect soundtrack for the holidays with a new California twist. 11 tracks with 5 original songs. Something nice to look foward to.

Christmas With Cliff – Cliff Richards

The 81-year-old singer presents his first Christmas album in nearly 20 years. 13 songs featuring good old faithfuls such as “Joy To The World” and “When A Child Is Born” but it will also feature new original songs: “First Christmas”, “Six Days After Christmas (Happy New Year)” and “Heart Of Christmas”.
