Time for the first Christmas show. This time we went to take in all the Christmas stuff at Intratuin Halsteren, an old favourite of ours. It is always a pleasure to go here. A truly fun experience for the whole family.

And that is noticeable. The opening weekend of the Christmas shows was well met.

Entry
While you walk away from the parkinglot you are already greeted by the music. It’s like walking through the Efteling (Dutch Theme park). You enter the garden center and immediately see a small version of Santa’s village on you’re right. Cute houses where all sorts of things are made: nutcrackers, the desk of the main elf etc.

In the back by the entrance to the garden center itself is a big puppet with a fairy flying above. Like a true scene from Pinoccio. Then you see a small terrace with two snackbars. You have some Christmas decor here in the shape of a big percolator with all kinds of mugs. Nicely done and something different. You also see wishlists throughout the entire space. In this you see a wink towards a Harry Potter theme.

Christmas show
The Christmas show begins a bit further on in the garden center. After some plants and Autumn decor you see the first fairylights beckoning you along with the first decorations. Trees, faux branches, several ornaments and figurines for decorations. Enough to see.

All the trends were spotted and several nice themes were highlighted with photo corners like Santa’s study.

Disney & Marvel are two big themes that were seen in multiple areas. Throughout the garden center you found nice ornaments and decorations. It seems to be a growing themes that attracts more and more people. A different way of Christmas but still fun.

Christmas Village
The Christmas village section looked bigger this year. Multiple rooms filled with Christmas villages and all that comes with it. Not only the American versions but a big tableau with Dutch villages and a complete NS track. Fun to see, definitly worht a look for the fan.
Kurt S. Adler

This year Kurt S. Adler was beautifully laid out as well. An extensive collection of ornaments and decorations. They have their own hallway this year and have a seperate Disney & Marvel corner.
Riviera Maison
Riviera Maison wasn’t as extensive this time but there were still some amazing things to find. Definitely worth a look if you want a more modest Christmas style with a touch of navy or mountain lodge.

Santa’s High Tea

The mirror pavilion was loaded with happy people. A much wanted item when visiting Intratuin Halsteren. This time the cook was walking around in the restaurant specifically to welcome people and take a few nice shots. A nice experience for all.

The Wonderful Store

A new corner in the garden center is The Wonderful Store. A shop completely filled with items from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars & Harry Potter. Mugs, backpacks, notebooks etc.

For the diehard fans this truly is a nice addition. You can usually find these products in online stores but rarely in physical stores. A great addition to the location and it will guarantee people will go home with purchases.

And finally
All in all it was a great experience with enough beautiful things to see. Great fun for an afternoon outing.
