When the Christmas season starts, there is one thing that cannot be left out: Hot Chocolate! It’s even more fun to create your own hot chocolate bar. Something fun for yourself and your family, but also a fantastic addition for when you’re entertaining guests. You can easily welcome people quickly with a warm drink in their hands and add some Christmas joy. Love it!


What do you need?
Fun Christmas mugs
You’ll probably already have some in the house. If not, check stores like Action, Xenos or garden centers. At this time of year they are filled with fun mugs and cups. You can also find a lot online. Or if you have a tick like us you’ll have gathered a nice collection over the years. Great fun to do.


Hot choco mix
Think Nesquik, choco mix, choco bombs of lollypops. Essentially the basics you need for a good hot chocolate. In addition you can also add spices such as cardamom, seasalt, chili or cinnamon.


Spoons or stirrers
Nowadays you can easily find great Christmas spoons. A deer or a gingerbreadman. Something slightly different for the holidays. This is also one of those items that gives your choco bar a personal touch just like with your mugs. It adds your own twist.


Toppings
- Marshmellows
- Chocolate drops
- Candy Canes
- Peppermint
- Crushed nuts
- Sprinkles
- Caramel
Your toppings finish your hot chocolate You can adapt the flavour to everyone’s tastes. Just a bit extra and festive.



Liqueurs & syrups
If you want a different twist to your hot chocolate then add liqueurs and syrups. You can find some great ones in stores and online.


Stroopwafel
The Dutch Stroopwafel. Add a dash of this and your hot choco has a whole different flavour explosion.
Mint
Pieces of peppermint or Candy Cane add to your hot choco brings the refreshing taste of an after eight chocolate. Delicious after a busy day at work.
Bailey Irish Cream
Warm milk, cocoa powder and a good shot of Baileys Irish cream. Easypeasy but oh so delicious! Perfect with a small muffin next to it. A delicious and enjoyable moment for yourself.

Lavender
Not the first thing you think of but delicious! Make your regular hot chocolate on a milk base. Add a table spoon of dried lavender and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Something different. Yum!
Monin
Who doesn’t know Monin products? By now you can find them everywheren. In cafΓ©s, shops, garden centers etc. Monin’s syrups are used versatile in its use and applicable for many drinks. Including hot chocolate. The flavours Winter Spice, Chocolate, Gingerbread, Pumpkin Spice, Tiramisu and Toffee Nut are perfect for a quick, new twist to your hot drink. A few drops is enough to transform your hot choco into a heavenly delight.
