3x Christmas Mocktails & Cocktails

Time flies! Only one more week until Christmas. So we put some fun things in this blog for you.

Cocktails & mocktails are a fun addition to your Christmas dinner. You can go many directions and it’s just a little something extra. It gives some colour and class to the whole event. You can adapt it to everyone’s own taste and it’s something fun for young and old.

Mocktails

Nowadays mocktails are just as fun as cocktails but alcohol-free. So we put 3 recipes together that are easy to duplicate at home.

Jingle Juice

This mocktail is done in a jiffy. Serve it in a Christmas bauble and you have a lovely eyecatcher for on your table.

Ingredients:

  • 10 cranberries
  • 100 ml sparkling water
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 50 ml cranberry juice
  • Twig of thyme

Wash the cranberries and put them in the glass. Add the cranberry juice, orange juice and sparkling water. Stir with a spoon so the drink will mix well. Use the thyme as a garnish. Voilà, you have a delicious, sweet, Christmassy mocktail. Doesn’t it look pretty?

Winter Citrus Lemon Punch

If you love fresh & fruity flavours then this is your mocktail. Easy to make and a good appetizer for your dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 orange
  • a handful of grapes
  • 1 lime
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 manderine/ tangeringe
  • Twig of mint
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • 200 ml sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Toothpick

Serves 2

Start with a layer of ice cubes at the bottom of the glass. Cut the orange, lemon and lime into good wedges. Put the wedges on the sides of the glass with the ice cubes in the middle. Pour in the orange juice and sparkling water.

Garnish

Take a toothpick and put a grape, orange wedge, grape, lime wedge and another grape on it. Add a twig of mint to the glass and put the decorated toothpick on top. Very simple and beautiful to look at.

Tip: if you prefer a sweeter mocktail, then add 1 tsp of lemon-flavoured lemonade.

Santa’s Merry Berry

A declious sweet mocktail with red fruit. Something that can’t be left out during those long winter evenings.

Ingredients:

  • a handful of cranberries
  • a handful of blue berries
  • 1 lime
  • 50 ml blueberry juice
  • 100 ml cranberry juice
  • 100 ml sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Put the cranberries and blueberries on the bottom of the glass. Pour the blueberry juice and add some ice cubes. Add the cranberry juice and finish with the sparkling water. Cut a lime wedge and put this on the edge of the glass. Time to toast together!

Wintery Bitterol Spritz

A delicious drink that looks beautiful on your table.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 manderine/ tangerine
  • 50 ml cranberry juice
  • 100 ml Bitterol (lidl)
  • 100 ml sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • cinnamon stick

Grab a measuring cup and squeeze the juice from the tangerine. Add the Bitterol, sparkling water and cranberry juice. Stir well. Meanwhile, fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour the mixture in the glass and finish it off with a cinnamon stick as garnish.

Baileys Peppermint

If something is good after dinner then it’s Baileys Irish cream.Just give it a festive makeover.

Ingredients:

  • a bag of red-white peppermints.
  • Baileys Irish Cream
  • honey
  • Candy cane
  • Ice cubes

Crush the peppermint with a mortar. Grab the honey and make a sticky rim on your glass. Dip your honey-glazed rim in the crushed peppermint. Add ice cubes in the glass and pour in the Baileys. Finish it off with a candy cane.

  • Variety tip: prefer it slightly different? Then add creme de cacao or peppermint schnapps. Easypeasy!

Disaronno Fizz

This drink surprised us but is now a new favourite. Fresh and nutty. A nice addition to your evening.

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml Disarrono
  • sparkling water
  • lemon

This cocktail is so simple. Add ice cubes in a glass. Pour in the Disarrono and in squeeze in half a lemon. Depening on how strong or fresh you want it, add more or less. Finish it off with sparkling water. Use a lemonpeel as garnish and you have a lovely, fresh cocktail for the holidays.
